Join CGRS in defending the rights of asylum seekers

As the Trump administration draws to a close, it is rapidly escalating its attacks on asylum seekers. Just in the past month, the administration has unveiled two sweeping new regulations that would rewrite our laws and make it virtually impossible for any refugee to receive protection.

CGRS is stepping up to defend the communities we serve during a pandemic that has left asylum seekers more vulnerable than ever. But we’ll need all hands on deck as we gear up to continue this fight.

A group of generous supporters have pledged to match every dollar raised during this fundraising campaign up to $75,000, for a total of $150,000 – which means your gift will go twice as far.

More About CGRS

Over the past three and a half years, the Trump administration has waged an unrelenting assault on the rights of asylum seekers. The administration has gutted protections for women and girls, trapped thousands in perilous conditions in Mexico, and used the global pandemic to justify indefinitely closing the border to all asylum seekers – even children who are entitled to special protection under U.S. laws.

CGRS has been at the front lines of this crisis.

We have taken the Trump administration to court numerous times – challenging many of the administration’s policies of exclusion. In addition to our litigation, we have worked in coalition with national organizations to oppose draconian regulations, such as those mentioned above, which dismantle our system of protection.

We have also continued to provide critical support in thousands of individual asylum cases each year, equipping advocates with the tools they need to win protections for their clients.

Our work is saving lives every day – and your support is what makes that possible. Please consider making a gift today!
